Concept to Preview Next VW CC in Geneva
The first signs of a follow-up to the current Volkswagen CC might show up in March.
According to Auto Motor Und Sport Volkswagen is planning to reveal the next generation thinly disguised as a concept car during the upcoming 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The CC is a coupe-styled fastback version of the Passat that has already migrated to a new generation based on VW’s MQB architecture for the European market.

The report claims that the new CC will have a significantly different appearance than the Passat thanks in large part to a mcuh more aggressive front fascia not to mention its roofline. Auto Motor Und Sport also claims that it will be about 1.5 inches longer than the Passat to offer more space to rear seat passengers. A front-wheel drive layout will be part of the standard package, although there will also be an all-wheel drive model.
Volkswagen is expected to debut the new CC sometime next year during a major auto show before it goes on sale in the U.S. for the 2017 model year.
