VW, Audi and Porsche Recall 27K Vehicles

Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche are recalling cars over the same issue: a fuel leak.

In total, 27,000 vehicles are affected, all of which are fitted with a 3.0-liter V6 engine.

Covered under the recall are the 2012 Audi A6, 2012-2013 A7, 2012-2013 Q7 and the 2011 through 2012 S4 and S5. Volkswagen is only calling back the 2012 Touareg hybrid while Porsche is bringing the 2011-2012 Cayenne and Panamera S hybrid back in to fix the issue.

According to VW, driving vibrations along with a production issue can cause a fuel leak in some cases. The company is not aware of any fires that have resulted from this problem.

Owners will be notified starting in March. The fuel injector rails and seals will be replaced for free on affected vehicles.
