McLaren 675LT is a Faster, Lighter 650S

McLaren has revealed the 675LT, the newest and most performance-focused model in its line of exotic cars.

The 675LT will make its world debut at next week’s Geneva Motor Show sporting aggressive styling cues and a lightweight design. On the outside, the 675LT has been enhanced by an extended carbon fiber splitter, an extended door blade with additional cooling intake and circular twin titanium exhaust pipes.

Other upgrades compared to the 650S include the active “Longtail” Airbrake, which is 50 percent larger, but is actually lighter thanks to its carbon fiber construction. Combined with all the other upgrades that toss out weight, the 675LT tips the scales at just 2,711 lbs, which is 220 lbs lighter than the standard 650S.

But it’s not all about putting the 650S on a diet and giving it better aerodynamics, the 675LT also has its power upgraded to 666 HP (675 metric horsepower, justifying the name) giving it an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 4 lbs per HP.

Inspired by the McLaren F1 GTR “Longtail” the 675LT has a top speed of 205 MPH and will be offered in five “By McLaren” hero specifications, which includes four bespoke colors never previously offered: Silica White, Delta Red, Napier Green and Chicane Grey. The fifth color is the British automaker’s famous McLaren Orange.
