2016 Audi A4 Partially Leaked Ahead of Debut

1

The 2016 Audi A4 has peeked its front end out onto the internet prematurely.

Expected to make its debut before the year is over, the next-generation Audi A4 has been leaked on Chinese website Autohome. This is the first time we’ve seen the front end without camouflage and it appears the German automaker is giving the sedan’s angular headlights a little nip-tuck. The 2016 Audi A4 will also receive the company’s single-frame grille while the interior won’t have any drastic changes.

The new A4 will be the automaker’s second model built on the lightweight MLB Evo platform that debuted on the 2016 Audi Q7. Compared to the current A4, expect a weight savings of around 200 lbs with front-wheel drive coming as standard and all-wheel drive available as an option. Base engines in the U.S. will likely remain the same, with the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder offered as standard and a more powerful 3.0-liter V6 available as an option. Don’t be surprised if Audi also offers a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel.

It is likely that the 2016 Audi A4 will bow at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show in September, so stay tuned for more details.
