2017 Ford Fiesta RS Mule Spied Testing
The Ford hot hatch family is growing.
After Ford confirmed the Focus RS will finally come to the U.S., rumors of a Fiesta RS began spreading and now we’ve got the first proof that it’s in the works.
AutoGuide.com‘s spy photographers have caught a 2017 Ford Fiesta RS mule testing alongside a Focus RS prototype. Though it’s still using the standard Fiesta body, we can see a modified front end with additional cooling components hidden behind the temporary grille.
There are also fender flares to give the Fiesta RS a wider track while temporary body panels can be seen on the rear of the car.

Considering Ford Performance manager Tyrone Johnson has gone on the record saying that “there’s more to come from the current Fiesta,” it’s appearing more than likely that the Fiesta RS will be one of Ford Performance’s new vehicles that the company has promised. Expect much more aggressive bodywork to make its way on the production Fiesta RS along with upgraded brakes, suspension and a 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine churning around 250 hp.
