AutoGuide Now for the Week of March 16
We’re lucky enough to be testing another round of interesting new cars, but there’s no reason to be green with envy about them. With AutoGuide Now, you can see what’s in our garage this week.
2015 Mitsubishi Outlander: Mike Schlee, Road Test Editor: “The Mitsubishi Outlander is the only compact crossover left that offers the combination of a V6 engine, seven-passenger seating and all-wheel drive. To see if the value packed crossover still appeals to customers, we have out general consumer reviewer driving one this week. What will Amanda think of it?”
2015 MINI 4-Door: “A new MINI variant arrived at the end of the last year, the MINI Cooper Hardtop 4 Door. Based on the latest MINI Hardtop, the 4 Door offers a slightly longer body with an extra set of narrow doors added to the rear. More practical, does the 4 Door still behave like a MINI?”
2015 GMC Canyon: Stephen Elmer, News Editor – “I’m going to answer a burning question for fans of GM’s new midsize twins this week: how do they tow? We hooked up an Airstream to the back out our Canyon that nearly eclipsed its maximum tow rating, to see how the small truck would handle. Check out our long-term review of the GMC Canyon to find out more about the truck.”
Nissan Crossovers: Craig Cole, Associate Editor -“Even though I’m not reviewing any exciting new vehicles this week I am attending a couple local events in the Detroit area. One is a super-secret backgrounder hosted by Chevrolet where they’re pre-revealing (prevealing?) several new products that will be unveiled at the upcoming New York Auto Show. Also, Nissan is hosting a drive event where I’ll get seat time in many of their crossover vehicles. Sounds like a fun week!”
2015 Nissan Murano: Luke Vandezande, Managing Editor – “I’m going to a second spin in the 2015 Nissan Murano this week. I drove it last December in Napa Valley on Nissan’s planned drive route and it seemed to do well there, but this time I’m going to take it over familiar roads to see how it really stacks up to daily life in a city. I’ll be tracking real world fuel economy and trying to negotiate tight traffic in a midsize crossover. Wish me luxk and tweet at me if you want to know anything about the vehicle.”
