Mercedes CLS-Class Recalled for Taillight Issue
The Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class is being recalled for an issue with its LED rear taillights.
Just over 30,000 units of the German automaker’s luxury four-door coupe are affected by the recall in the U.S., which covers 2015 model year CLS 400s, 2012-2015 CLS 550s, 2012-2013 CLS 63S and 2014-2015 CLS 63P. According to documents filed with U.S. safety regulators, the LED rear tail lights may not properly illuminate on the sides, increasing the risk of a crash.

The issue was first discovered during a quality check at the factory in December and dealers will update the lighting control software at no cost to owners. The company has not announced when the recall will begin.
