2016 Mazda MX-5 Club Heightens Performance

Mazda is already showing off a sportier version of its new 2016 MX-5 Miata.

Making its debut at the 2015 New York Auto Show, the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata Club boasts numerous upgrades to the sporty roadster, heightening performance with a limited-slip differential, Bilstein shocks and a shock tower brace for models equipped with the SkyActiv-MT six-speed manual transmission. Those opting for the automatic MX-5 Miata Club will forgo all the performance upgrades and will be left with the 17-inch gunmetal wheels, front air dam and rear lip spoilers.

All MX-5 Club models will come standard with Mazda Connect infotainment system with a seven-inch color touchscreen display and multi-function commander control, HD and SiriusXM Satellite Radio, a pair of USB ports, piano black side mirrors and seatback bars and a nine-speaker Bose audio system with headrest speakers.

Buyers of the MX-5 Club will also be able to opt for an additional package that gives the MX-5 Miata with forged lightweight 17-inch BBS wheels, Brembo front brakes and functional aerodynamic side sill extensions along with a rear bumper skirt – all of which were previewed earlier this year at the Chicago Auto Show on the MX-5 Global Cup race car.

Further details on the packages and pricing on the Club model is expected to come closer to the model’s release.
