2016 Volvo XC90 AWD Rated at 22 MPG Combined

Fuel economy ratings are in the for the new 2016 Volvo XC90 with all-wheel drive.
Volvo’s new SUV will deliver 20 mpg in the city, 25 mpg on the highway for a combined rating of 22 mpg. Power comes from a small turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, making 316 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque.

Those ratings put the new XC90 ahead of its predecessor by four mpg in the city and two on the highway. Initially, all models will be fitted with all-wheel drive.
Eventually, a 400-hp plug-in hybrid model will join the XC90 lineup.
