Rumor has it the 2017 Hyundai Genesis Coupe will benefit from a new twin-turbo engine.

According to The Korean Car Blog, the next generation Genesis Coupe will use a 3.3-liter twin-turbo engine that will provide around 480 hp and is reportedly heading to production in late 2017. The engine will be part of Hyundai’s new “N performance” lineup, a badge which the company’s most powerful models will wear in the future.

At the 2015 New York Auto Show, Hyundai confirmed that this new twin-turbo V6 will also be used in the Genesis sedan, where it will make power in the ballpark of the company’s 420-hp, 5.0-liter Tau V8, though it will weigh far less.
