Handful of Scion tCs Recalled over Suspension
Scion is recalling certain 2015 tC Release Series 9 vehicles.
A total of just about 114 units are impacted by the recall. According to Toyota, the involved vehicles may have had their rear suspension bolts and nuts improperly tightened at two of the Toyota facilities at which accessory coil springs were installed prior to delivery to dealers. As a result, the bolts could loosen during vehicle operation, potentially causing the suspension arm to detach and increasing the risk of a crash.

The Japanese automaker is unaware of any accidents or injuries related to the issue and owners of the involved vehicles will be notified via mail. Toyota dealers will replace the bolts, nuts, rear suspension arms and rear suspension member sub-assemblies on affected vehicles.
