New Mazdaspeed3 to Arrive Next Year
Rumor has it that the new Mazdaspeed3 will debut in concept form later this year.
According to a new report, the Japanese automaker will debut the Mazdaspeed3 concept at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and the hot hatch will likely arrive in mid-2016 as a 2017 model year. Expect the Mazdaspeed3 to be powered by a turbocharged version of the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that is currently offered with an output of around 300 hp. Previous rumors also suggest that the new Mazdaspeed3 could get all-wheel drive and that is looking more likely.

The report also says that Mazda will debut a new CX-9 at the Los Angeles Auto Show towards the end of the year, ahead of reviving the CX-7 nameplate for 2016. The good news is, if Mazda is willing to invest into the Mazdaspeed lineup, don’t be surprised to see a new Mazdaspeed MX-5 model in the near future, something that will appeal to sports car enthusiasts hungering for more performance.
