Watch the AMG GT3 Tear up the ‘Ring
Mercedes‘ latest race car looked good under the lights at the Geneva Motor Show, but it looks much better going flat out at the race track.
Youtube user nordschleife96 captured great footage of the AMG GT3, the successor to the SLS GT3, testing at Germany’s famous Nurburgring Nordschleife.
Unlike the road-going AMG GT, this race car uses a 6.2-liter V8 for motivation, hooked up to a six-speed manual race transmission. The German brand chose to pass on the new turbocharged V8 found in the GT in favor of the high-revving, reliable naturally aspirated engine.
