2016 Mazda CX-3 Fuel Economy Announced

2016 Mazda CX-3 fuel economy ratings have been released. 

When power is sent only to the front wheels, the new CX-3 nets 29 mpg in the city, 35 on the highway which combine for a rating of 31 mpg. Add all-wheel drive and the ratings fall to 27 mpg in the city, 32 on the highway and 29 mpg combined.

The new CX-3 is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that makes 146 hp and 146 lb-ft of torque.

Compared to the Honda HR-V, which is rated at 28 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway when equipped with a CVT and front-wheel drive, the 2016 Mazda CX-3 fuel economy ratings prove it is just slightly more economical in the city, by one mpg. The all-wheel drive HR-V matches the all-wheel drive CX-3 when it comes to fuel economy.
