Aston Martin DB11 Spied Once Again
Aston Martin is doing another round of testing for its next-generation sports car.
The British automaker has been spied bringing its DB11 to the ‘Ring for more laps on the track, with a black prototype sporting the same camouflage as we saw last time.
Most recently, spy photos of the Aston Martin DB11 hinted that it could go forced induction, using turbochargers for performance as indicated by a toggle switch marked “intercooler” in the cabin of the test car. No confirmation has come from the company as to what will power the DB11, although it is speculated that the prototypes are equipped with a 6.0-liter V12.

Replacing the current DB9, the Aston Martin DB11 will be built on an all-new lightweight platform that will eventually underpin additional models in the company’s lineup. The car will also likely feature a Mercedes-AMG turbocharged V8 engine to help it appeal to a wider range of buyers. The British automaker has hinted at the model’s styling with the Aston Martin DB10, a vehicle that will be starring in the upcoming James Bond film Spectre.
