Audi TT RS Prototype Spotted in the Wild
Audi is working overtime on a new version of the TT RS and our spy photographers have proof.
A prototype model was spotted in Europe being benchmarked against a previous generation of the car. The example undergoing testing is dressed like a TT S, which is a step lower on the performance ladder.
Still, it was wearing larger, cross-drilled brake rotors, upgraded binders that are not available on the TT S. Additionally, a closer inspection of the massive calipers revealed RS branding that was painted over.

As for power, the new TT RS could possibly feature a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine. Augmented with a turbocharger it could deliver more than 400 horses. Of course Audi engineers could also opt to run a hopped-up version of the company’s 2.0-liter four-cylinder powerplant.
Beyond performance enhancements expect the new TT RS to wear aggressive new bodywork. It should resemble the new RS 3 in certain ways. Look for this car to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September with an on-sale date possibly early next year.
