Porsche 911 Facelift Spied Undisguised

The Porsche 911’s mid-cycle facelift has been fully revealed.

The spy photos of the German automaker’s sports car show off the upcoming styling changes for the 991-generation 911. Up front, the bumper now has integrated LED daytime running lights, a feature that appears on the new Cayman GT4, while the rear bumper has received additional air vents for the turbochargers that will head to various 911 models in the future.

The prototype that Porsche is currently testing features a twin exhaust coming out the center of the rear bumper, so it is likely that the GTS model will get a new exhaust setup for the facelift. Other minor changes include new door handles and a new grille on the engine trunk.

Porsche will be equipping numerous models across its lineup with turbocharged four-cylinder engines as it looks to maintain performance while meeting strict emission standards worldwide. The company confirmed that the turbocharged four-cylinder engines will arrive on the Boxster and Cayman models in the U.S. starting next year.
