2

Millennials love buying up Tesla stock.

According to a recent report, Tesla is the sixth most popular stock that millennials age 25-34 purchase, but is the top automotive stock among the age group.

Ranking at the very top for millennials and those over the age of 35 is Apple while Facebook, Bank of America, GE and Berkshire Hathaway round out the top five for stock buyers age 25-34. The report confirms that millennials are far more likely to invest into newer technology and Internet companies while those older than 35 aren’t all that different with GE, Facebook, Microsoft and AT&T rounding out their top five.

Other stocks that interest millennials include Alibaba, Disney, Exxon Mobil and Microsoft, which round out the top 10. For those age 35 and up, Exxon Mobil, Bank of America, Berkshire Hathaway, Intel and Johnson & Johnson are the last five finishers.

According to TD Ameritrade, its average client holds 10 percent of their equity portfolio in Apple, which has become a sure bet among all ages.
