Top Gear Trio to Host New Show About Cars
Anyone experiencing Top Gear withdrawal won’t have long to wait to get their fix.
Jeremy Clarkson has confirmed that he and his fellow Top Gear co-hosts, Richard Hammond and James May, will be back soon with a new show about cars. Details will be released in an official announcement that is said to be coming in the next few weeks.
Rumors of the trio hosting a new show on Netflix are still strong, with sources saying that a deal with the internet-based entertainment provider is “very close.”

Clarkson says that he was offered a contract to go back to the BBC to host Top Gear, though the broadcaster denies the report. According to Clarkson, he declined the offer because the show would have ended “up being neutered. It would have been very difficult to do anything without interference. It would have been impossible to make the show I’d want to make,” said Clarkson.
BBC radio and TV host Chris Evans has been announced as Clarkson’s successor on Top Gear, which is currently searching for co-hosts for the show.
