Watch the Nissan Juke NISMO RS Set a Two-Wheel Driving Record

3

The Nissan Juke NISMO RS has set a new record at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Stuntman Terry Grant has broken his own record for the fastest mile travelled on two wheels in a four-wheeled vehicle behind the wheel of a Nissan Juke NISMO RS. Although Grant had six attempts to break the record, he did it on his first attempt, clocking in a time of 2 minutes and 10 seconds, eclipsing his previous record of 2 minutes and 55 seconds set in a standard Juke model in 2011.

The Nissan Juke NISMO RS is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine with 215 hp and has available torque vectoring all-wheel drive. Nissan also debuted its Juke R 2.0 at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, as well as giving away three “golden ticket” entries to its GT Academy competition.

“I was shocked at how much faster the JUKE NISMO RS was, and to take 45 seconds off what was already a quick time, was unbelievable,” said Grant. “To break it by so much on my first attempt was a great way to kick off the weekend, and I’m looking forward to seeing if I can go faster.”
