Tire maker Continental is issuing a recall on the ContiProContact tires.

The defective tires, sized 225/45 R17 91 H, are being recalled for a loss of air pressure. This is actually the second time the tires have been recalled, the first recall occurring early this month for tires sized P205/65 R15 95T XL that could suffer from tread separation.

This new recall announcement affects tires produced between February and May 2015, that were sold in the replacement market. 4,884 were sold in the U.S. while 2,032 were sold in Canada and 1,551 in Mexico. Continental notified NHTSA about the recall on July 15, and has said no accidents due to the tires have been reported.

The defective tires tires have the DOT codes P5TY PXH6 0815 through P5TY PXH6 1915. Continental will replace the tires at no cost.
