2017 Ford GT Production Limited to 200 Units
The 2017 Ford GT will reportedly be limited to just 200 units with half of those going to the U.S.
Autoweek is reporting that a source indicates production will be capped at 200 units, 100 of which will come to the U.S. For the first model year, the Ford GT will be priced around $400,000. The American automaker will be using an application process to determine which buyers will be eligible to purchase the sports car since demand will almost certainly outnumber supply.

The remaining 100 units will be allocated worldwide, namely in markets that Ford has a strong presence in. Autocar reports that the U.K. will get less than 20 units while other countries will receive around 10 a piece.
Exact specifications for the 2017 Ford GT have not been released but it will be powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine with over 600 horsepower. The powerplant will be mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and the car will be nice and light thanks to plenty of carbon fiber panels.
