2017 Scion FR-S Spied Testing with Light Updates
It seems Toyota is preparing an update for the GT86, known in North America as the Scion FR-S.
Caught testing by our spy photographers, this prototype is wearing camouflage over its front end, but we can still make out larger air intakes, a revised nose and new headlights. At the back of the car the bumper looks to be slightly revised while LED taillights and a new larger spoiler can be also be seen.

Specifics on a revised powertrain for the car are unknown at this time, though the latest rumors suggest that the FR-S will continue to use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder powerplant though it will be slightly more powerful. A bump of roughly 5 percent, which would take it to 208 hp, is expected thanks to a new intake manifold and fresh engine internals that run with less friction.
Suspension upgrades are also expected to improve ride comfort.
The updated FR-S should arrive sometime in 2016 as a 2017 model year vehicle.
