Watch the Glorious Ford GT Race Car During Development Track Days
The Ford GT race car has become the focus of the latest video from Ford Performance, and the sounds it makes during development track sessions are glorious.
The American automaker has shared never-before-seen footage of the Ford GT’s 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine while it undergoes testing on the dynamometer in Dearborn, Mich. It also showcases coverage from the Ford GT race car’s first test at Sebring.
During the race car’s development, Ford focused on the GT’s aerodynamics, with the team establishing the downforce and aero efficiency calculations before turning to the powertrain and other components to support it.
