Yamaha to Display a Concept Car, Yes, a Car, at Tokyo Motor Show
Yamaha, typically known for its motorcycles and ATVs, will apparently be bringing a concept car to the Tokyo Motor Show.
The Japanese company says its theme for this year’s show will be the “Yamaha Product Orchestra,” and although they make ATVs, motorcycles, snowmobiles, side-by-sides, scooters and other engines, there has never been a car in Yamaha’s product portfolio. It looks like that is about to change, if the teaser image above is any indication.
There is no word on whether or not the concept could become a production car. Information about the concept is thin, with Yamaha only saying that the “design concept is inspired by motorcycles and expresses the Unique Style of Yamaha.”
The company will also display “an autonomous motorcycle-riding humanoid robot that combines motorcycle and robotics technologies.” That’s not terrifying at all.
