Canadian Car and Truck of the Year Category Winners Announced

These are the best new cars in each category segment as named by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC).

While none of these cars can be named Canadian Car or Truck of the Year just yet, they are all eligible to win the prestigious award. Those winners will be announced at the 2016 Toronto Auto Show, in February. In order to pick the category and final winners, AJAC journalists spent a week testing the new cars back-to-back in their respective categories. Each vehicle was scored and compared to its rivals in the segment. Here are the winners of each category:
