2017 Nissan Titan Regular Cab Spied Undisguised on a Forklift
The 2017 Nissan Titan Regular Cab model has been spied undisguised, but it wasn’t driving.
The truck, which is set to arrive some time this summer, was being transported on a large forklift.
The Japanese automaker has only launched the 2016 Nissan Titan XD so far, powered by a 5.0-liter turbodiesel V8 engine, while the light-duty models will arrive as model year 2017. Based on its Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, the Titan XD is technically a three-quarter ton truck, though Nissan calls it a heavy half-ton. The Nissan Titan Regular Cab will directly compete with the Ford F-150, Ram 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado.
Unlike the last Nissan Titan truck, the new Titan will have a much broader lineup to appeal to a wide range of buyers, including the addition of a regular cab model for basic commercial needs. What’s seen in these spy photos will likely be a price leader for Nissan, appealing to those that need a basic truck for work purposes.

The light-duty 2017 Nissan Titan will likely make its debut this summer with a V6 engine as standard. Expect a more powerful 5.6-liter gasoline V8 to be available as an option that will also be offered on the Titan XD.
