Hyundai Rolls Out Facelifted 2017 Santa Fe
At the 2016 Chicago Auto Show, Hyundai took the wraps of the redesigned 2017 Santa Fe.
The crossover has a new look up front thanks to a new brushed-appearance grille, LED daytime running lights, new headlights and taillights, dual exhausts and new rocker panel trim.

A new set of safety systems has been added such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection and adaptive lights with high-beam assist.

The powertrain lineup doesn’t change for the Santa Fe Sport, offering a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 185 horsepower and a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 240 hp. The larger three-row Santa Fe also contiues to use the 3.3-liter V6 with 290 hp. What has changed for all of these engines is the addition of a drive mode selector which allows you to choose from sport, eco or normal drive modes.

Hyundai managed to boost fuel economy for 2017 with the Santa Fe Sport, which now gets 24 mpg combined with the 2.4-liter engine and front-wheel drive. Across all models, the 2017 Santa Fe is 1 mpg more efficient in both city and highway driving.
The list of standard features offered with the Santa Fe is still long and includes a rearview camera, automatic on/off headlights, remote keyless entry with alarm, body-color heated exterior power mirrors with driver’s blind spot mirror, LED headlight accents, daytime running lights, steering-wheel-mounted audio and cruise control and Bluetooth hands-free smartphone system.
Of course, Hyundai’s next-generation BlueLink infotaiment system is offered in both Santa Fe models.
Pricing for the 2017 Santa Fe Sport starts at $25,350 for a base Sport 2.4-liter model, while the top-trim 2.0T Ultimate costs $38,250. The seven-seat Santa Fe starts at $30,800 and tops out at $41,150.
