Luxury cars aren’t always the cars that will keep you the safest on the road.
Surprisingly, not every luxury car offered in today’s marketplace excels at crash tests from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). If you’re in the market for a luxury car and want to make sure your family and yourself are well protected, here’s a list of the safest luxury cars you can purchase in 2016. All of the vehicles on the list received both a Top Safety Pick+ from IIHS and a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA.
It’s worth noting that not all 2016 model year vehicles have been tested by both IIHS and NHTSA, so we will be keeping this list updated as often as possible with new additions as more vehicles get tested.
