Top 10 Cars That Get the Most Traffic Tickets

You might be inclined to believe that exotics and supercars are the ones that get the most traffic tickets, but a recent study proves otherwise.

Insurance.com analyzed quote information submitted by 323,349 drivers between January 1, 2014 and February 1, 2016 to see which vehicles get ticketed the most. It was able to review insurance claim and traffic violation data from 331 models to see which cars have the highest percentage of tickets. Of course, drivers get tickets and not cars, but it’s interesting to see which cars might be more prone to getting pulled over.

Things get a bit interesting with the Volkswagen Jetta GL, since nothing is more vanilla than the German automaker’s sedan. Still, 31.4 percent of owners have been ticketed. 1. Lexus ES300

But consider us shocked with the Lexus ES300 at the top of the list, with 33.4 percent of its owners having received a ticket. That number drops substantially when it comes to the ES350 model to 16 percent. It gets even stranger since the Lexus IS350 is one of the least ticketed cars at 3.4 percent. You might want to keep an eye out for those drivers behind the wheel of the older Lexus ES300, they might be trying to get somewhere really fast.
