Porsche Catches Fire in DUB Section of 2016 New York Auto Show
A Porsche caught on fire while setting up in the DUB section of the 2016 New York Auto Show.
Like many auto shows across the nation, there’s often a special section dedicated to modified cars. At the 2016 New York Auto Show, DUB hosts that special wing and it appears while setup was happening, a Porsche 911 Turbo sporting a Florida license plate caught on fire. Not much is known about the incident, but a video surfaced on social media capturing the blaze igniting before it was quickly extinguished at the venue.

According to NBC 4 New York, it was a small electrical fire that occurred and fortunately no one was injured as a result.
It’s worth noting that this isn’t your run-of-the-mill stock car that is on display at the German automaker’s booth at the Javits Center, but rather a heavily modified version surrounded by other customized cars.
