Ford GT Configurator Hiding Placeholders for Future Special Edition Models

The fact that orders are now open for the Ford GT is interesting, but we found something that has piqued our interest even more.

When fiddling with the new Ford GT configurator, after choosing paint, wheels and interior, you’re then led to a section called “Series” with two Coming Soon boxes.

When you try to select one of those boxes, a message comes up that says “Selecting any of these Special Editions will override all of your previous configurations.”

We have a line into Ford Performance asking what’s up, but we doubt that we will get an answer beyond “we don’t comment on future product.”
