More Than 7,000 People Have Applied to Buy a Ford GT So Far

6

It’s safe to say demand for the Ford GT will surpass its supply.

The American automaker plans to produce 500 units of its new Ford GT over the next two years, but has already received more than 7,000 applications from people who want to buy the sports car. The order books for the new sports car opened less than a week ago and pricing is expected to start in the $450,000 range.

Those interested in purchasing a Ford GT are having to go through an application process, with the automaker prioritizing customers who have previously owned GTs or other Ford products. Ford is also requiring buyers to sign an agreement that they will not quickly sell the car for profit.
