A single Volvo FH16 heavy truck that was taken straight from the factory was used to pull a 750-ton load, showing off Volvo’s new transmission, the I-Shift with crawler gears.

The 984-foot long road train was loaded up to 750 tons and the reigns were turned over to the world strongman champion Magnus Samuelsson. A video released by the brand details how the stunt was setup and pulled off.

When it launched, Volvo boasted that the I-Shift with crawler gears transmission could reliably pull 325 tons from a standstill thanks to the additional low-range gears. Those crawler gears not only help to get heavy loads moving, they allow the truck to drive at speeds as low as 0.3 mph.

The challenge took place in Gothenburg, Sweden at a shipping yard.
