Tesla Safety Concerns Faked: Musk

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has confirmed there is no safety concern with the Tesla Model S suspension.

After a whirlwind of allegations that the Tesla Model S suffered from suspension failure and that the American automaker attempted to hide the issue, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has taken to Twitter to clarify the issue. According to Musk, 37 of 40 complaints to NHTSA were fraudulent, which could mean a false location or a false vehicle identification number (VIN) were used.

The CEO believes that the false accusations indicate that one or more people sought to create the false impression of a safety issue when none existed, and Musk is curious as to why anyone would want to do that.
