Here’s Proof Jaguar is Working on a US-Bound Wagon
Wagons are trying to make a comeback in the U.S.
Despite earlier reports that Jaguar didn’t see a future with wagon models, the British automaker teased a new XF Sportbrake model at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. Promised to be fully unveiled next year, the new XF Sportbrake was shown off as a camouflaged prototype in Paris, where the company also confirmed it would be heading to the U.S.
Spy photographers have now caught a prototype testing at the Nurburgring, and like most modern wagon models, Jaguar is going for appeal and style rather than cargo space.

The prototype appears to be a high-performance “S” version that is likely powered by a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 engine with around 380 horsepower. Compared to the prototype Jaguar initially showed off, the vehicle spied testing features bigger air intakes on the front bumper and red brake calipers behind the larger wheels.
Expect the XF Sportbrake’s powertrain lineup to mirror those found on the sedan model, and a version from the automaker’s Special Vehicle Operations division isn’t entirely out of the question.
Look for the Jaguar XF Sportbrake to make its debut sometime next year.
