Ferrari 488 Challenge Revealed

Ferrari has introduced its newest 488 Challenge race car and it looks incredible.

Although full details on it won’t be announced until later this weekend, the Italian automaker did show off the above photo on its Twitter account as well as displaying it in the flesh at the Finali Mondiali event at Daytona International Speedway in Florida. The new car will replace the 458 Challenge in the one-make Ferrari Challenge series for 2017.

Next year will be the series’ 25th year, but it marks the first time a turbocharged car is used. It appears that the company has placed an emphasis on aerodynamics, giving the 488 Challenge a much more aggressive design than its roadgoing counterpart – which is to be expected considering it’s a race car.
