Here are Perfect Gifts for the Tesla Fanatic in Your Life

Tesla might be getting its feet wet and looking to compete against Porsche Design with its own lineup of accessories.

Arriving just in time for the holiday season, Tesla has added the Powerbank and Desktop Supercharger to its website, both of which are currently available for $45.00 each. Like Porsche Design’s products, the two accessories from Tesla demand a premium because of the Tesla name, while not doing anything particularly better compared to a much cheaper alternative. But if you love the way the Tesla Supercharger looks, the Desktop Supercharger is made for you, using the same 3D CAD data used to manufacture the actual Supercharger to replicate every detail, curve, and surface found in the scale model.

The portable Powerbank is designed and inspired after Tesla’s Supercharger monument at the Tesla Design Studio and features a compact design with integrated micro USB and Apple Lightning cables. It uses a single 18650 cell with 3350 mAh capacity and has a maximum output of 5V/1.5A. Tesla says the Powerbank has “high efficiency circuitry to deliver maximum battery capacity.”

The 18650 battery found in the Powerbank is actually the same one used by the Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X, except those vehicles use about 7,000 of them.
