Here’s Our Best Look Yet at the New Mercedes-Benz CLS
The next-generation Mercedes-Benz CLS has been spied in Spain wearing minimal camouflage.
Looking at the design, changes to the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS will be more evolutionary than revolutionary for the next-gen model. The pronounced hip from the current model however will be eliminated, giving way to less body lines and an overall smoother profile. The four-door coupe is closely related to the E-Class, but it will be longer and wider since it serves as a model that bridges the gap between the E-Class and the S-Class. Expect the CLS to share its technologies inside the cabin with the E-Class including the two digital displays.

Underpinning the new CLS is the MRA platform currently found on the C-Class and E-Class models. That likely means the standard powertrain will be a 3.0-liter inline-six engine, which means the V6 is out. Also out will be the Shooting Brake variant that is offered in other markets.
Look for the new Mercedes-Benz CLS to make its debut at the 2017 L.A. Auto Show before heading to dealerships sometime next year.
