New Spy Photos Capture Both Old and New Mercedes G-Class Testing
Although it’s still heavily camouflaged, we now have great photos comparing the next Mercedes G-Class with the current one.
Expected to bow at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show early next year, the new Mercedes-Benz G-Class doesn’t appear to have any significant styling changes, which makes sense considering how iconic its design is. But it will reportedly ride on a new platform that will make it lighter than its predecessor.
The latest set of photos from our spy photographers show both the standard G-Class model and the high-performance AMG version, with the standard G-Class looking like it just went off-roading.

It’s difficult to tell, but the new G-Class should be wider than the current model, increasing passenger and cargo space.
Expect to hear more about the G-Class in the coming months. The German automaker should begin shedding some of the camouflage from the squarish SUV before its debut.
