Hennessey’s Crazy 6-Wheel Raptor is Heading to Production
Based on the Ford Raptor, Hennessey’s VelociRaptor 6×6 is now being built for a limited production run of 50 units.
Available for the 2017-2018 Ford Raptor truck, pricing has actually changed a bit since we last reported about the six-wheel monster. The VelociRaptor 6×6 starts from $349,000 and includes the base Raptor four-door truck for those that absolutely need an off-road beast.
Sporting 605 horsepower and 622 pound-feet of torque, the customized Raptor includes 6×6 locking rear axles, upgraded Fox suspension, six 20-inch wheels with Toyo Open Country tires, Hennessey front and rear bumper upgrades, LED lights, roll bar, and a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty.

The new VelociRaptor 6×6 is the successor to the original four-wheeled VelociRaptor that debuted in 2010. The six-wheel creation took 11 months from concept to finish and originally, the company didn’t have plans to tune and customize pickups on a regular basis. But after a customer asked for a custom twin-turbo package on his 2010 Ford Raptor, “the demand skyrocketed once enthusiasts saw what Hennessey could do.” To date, Hennessey has built over 1,000 four-wheeled VelociRaptors.
