First Look at the New 2019 Ram 1500 Without a Crosshair Grille
The 2019 Ram 1500’s new front end has been caught on camera ahead of the truck’s official debut.
Set to bow at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show in a couple weeks, spy photographers have caught the 2019 Ram 1500 testing numerous times over the past few months. Most recently, the Limited model was caught on camera testing on the streets of Michigan but the front end was still wearing a bit of camouflage. Now, our spy photographers have managed to capture a few images of the new Ram 1500’s front end with nothing in the way, showing off the new front grille that represents a more streamlined appearance.

This is the best look we’ve seen of the front grille with the badge, sporting a trapezoidal design flanked by a sleek set of headlights. Although we will get full details on the next-generation pickup once it makes its premiere in Detroit, expect coil springs with optional air suspension to continue on, along with the company’s RamBox storage solution. A larger passenger cab is expected to join the lineup along with new tailgate options.
As for what will lurk under the hood, a hybrid powertrain and a turbocharged four-cylinder engine are possibilities. Also rumored are a more powerful V8 engine and a variant that will compete with the Ford F-150 Raptor.
