Former Ford Exec Gets a New Job That is Linked to Ford

Raj Nair has been appointed president and chief operating officer of Multimatic.

The former president of Ford North America was ousted earlier this year in February for “inappropriate behavior.” The American automaker didn’t go into great detail on what happened, simply saying that a review determined certain behavior by Nair was inconsistent with the company’s code of conduct.

Now, Nair will start a new job at Multimatic Motorsports in Ontario, Canada, a company that is linked to Ford, because it builds the current Ford GT supercar. Nair played a vital role in getting the new GT developed and produced while he was at Ford, serving as global chief technology officer at the time.

Nair’s appointment has been confirmed to Road & Track by Multimatic marketing vice-president Michael Guttilla. “The addition of Raj to our leadership team was about making a great company even better,” Guttilla told Road & Track. “His skill-set is perfectly aligned with Multimatic’s core competencies and purpose.”
