Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2 Leak Ahead of Reveal

The new Ferrari Monza SP1 and Monza SP2 special editions have leaked ahead of their official unveiling.

The Italian automaker held a private viewing party for the two new 812 Superfast-based special edition supercars last night and some images have now surfaced from the exclusive event. The slightly grainy images give us a good idea of what the open-top, front engine SP1 and SP2 will look like, although we’re eagerly awaiting the official announcement from Ferrari so we can get an even better look.

The SP1 is a single-seater, while the SP2 has room for two occupants. The two cars will allegedly be limited to just 100 units each and will be offered to Ferrari’s most loyal customers. They will feature the same 6.5-liter V12 and seven-speed transmission as the 812 Superfast, however it’s not clear if output will remain at 789 hp. The engine propels the 812 Superfast from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9s and on to a top speed of 211 mph, but it’s not clear how fast the SP1 and SP2 are. We imagine that’s beside the point anyway – these retro-inspired special editions are more focused on driving pleasure than outright speed.
