2015 Cadillac Escalade Gets 8-Speed, Pricier Platinum Trim
The Cadillac Escalade is receiving several upgrades for the 2015 model year.
The American automaker has announced that the entire lineup will now benefit from an eight-speed automatic transmission while a new, range-topping “Platinum Collection” trim has been added and will be launching in the fourth quarter this year. As a result, the 2015 Cadillac Escalade will be priced from $73,965 including destination, a $1,275 premium over last year’s model. The 2015 Escalade Platinum will be priced from $90,270.

In addition to the new eight-speed automatic transmission, the Escalade lineup will also gain 4G LTE connectivity and a Surround View camera system as standard features. The Platinum model sees the first- and second-row seats wrapped in Nappa semi-aniline leather while the dash, upper door panels and center console now have hand-stitched and hand-wrapped leather. The top-of-the-line model will ride on 22-inch wheels and boasts chrome accents, Platinum exterior badges and a unique grille mesh design.
