McLaren 650S Sprint Revealed Ahead of Pebble Beach Debut
McLaren will debut its track-only 650S Sprint at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
The stripped-out race variant of the 650S will make its world premiere alongside numerous McLaren models including the highly anticipated McLaren P1 GTR. The 650S Sprint has been outfitted with developments to the company’s Brake Steer system, a proper race setup for the ProActive Chassis Control (PCC) and more refined active aerodynamics. As a result, McLaren boasts that the 650S Sprint offers a more engaging GT racing experience without compromising the refinement and balance found on the production model.

The powerplant in the 650S Sprint remains as a 3.8-liter twin-turbo but features a “unique engine and transmission calibration to further enhance on-track drivability and driver engagement,” according to the British automaker. The vehicle making its debut at the Concours d’Elegance will be the first example of the 650S Sprint and will be adorned with a new livery featuring an inverted color scheme of the 650S GT3 shown at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
U.S. pricing for the McLaren 650S was not announced, but it will be priced at £198,000 ($332,365) in the UK. Expect North American pricing to be announced closer to the vehicle’s launch.
