2016 Mercedes E-Class Spied Testing
The next-generation Mercedes E-Class sedan is in its early stages of testing.
Giving us the best look yet of the new E-Class, AutoGuide.com‘s spy photographers have caught it testing heavily camouflaged in Germany. The next-generation E-Class will be built on the same platform as the new C-Class, known as the modular MRA platform, but the E-Class will be longer and wider to offer more interior space.

The biggest benefit of the new platform will be weight savings thanks to extensive use of aluminum. Expect the 2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class to make its debut sometime next year with the sedan model being offered first before the automaker releases the wagon, coupe and convertible variants.
