Aston Martin Models Recalled for Faulty Seat Heaters
Various Aston Martin models are being recalled for faulty seat heaters.
According to the recall notice, the electronic module for the front seat heaters on numerous Aston Martin vehicles may fail, preventing the seat heaters from turning off. The recall affects a total of 7,256 units and includes the 2006-2014 model years DB9, V12 Vantage, V8 Vantage, DBS and Virage. All affected vehicles were manufactured between July 3, 2006 to November 5, 2014.

If the seat heaters are unable to turn off, it could cause areas of the seat to get really hot, overheat and even smolder increasing the risk of injury to the person occupying the seat. Dealers will install an additional module to the circuit that can interrupt power to the seat heaters in case the defective electronic module fails.
