8. Dodge Avenger
As part of Chrysler’s plan to streamline its model lineup, the Dodge Avenger also got the axe in 2014, making the new 200 the lone midsize sedan in the Chrysler Group’s lineup. The removal of the Avenger from the American automaker’s offerings is also in hopes of boosting sales for the Dodge Dart, a model that has struggled since its release. For the most part, Dodge is steering away from “sister” vehicles in order to reduce overlapping products in dealer showrooms. There were originally rumors that there would be a successor for the Avenger but that’s looking more unlikely with the early success of the new 200.
