Chevrolet SS Could Get 1LE Package

Chevrolet engineers are aiming to improve how the SS sports sedan handles.

Word is that the American automaker’s engineers want to create an optional 1LE package for the SS to enhance its handling that would be based on the Camaro 1LE’s popular package. According to MotorTrend, Chevy engineers even know what parts they would outfit the SS with, including larger tires to increase neutrality while new dampers and a re-tuned suspension would make the sedan even sportier.

What’s even more enticing is that those engineers could have the package ready to market within six months. Unfortunately what’s stopping it from happening is convincing GM management that it is worthwhile. Last year, the American automaker sold 2,479 copies of the Australia imported SS.
